Notice of 2023 annual island closing:
On Saturday, October 07, 2023 an island work party will be needed to place our docks into shed storage and stow our equipment for the end of our boating season.
The last day all docks will be in place will be Sunday October 1st; they will be removed thereafter.
We will need 25 volunteers for this effort. This event works towards your fraternal Merit Mark hours.
Work will include hauling, moving and storing items and some cooking, serving and cleanup help will be
needed.
Two shuttle boats will transport our volunteers from the Excelsior City Docks at 10:00 and 10:15; there will be a lunch for our volunteers only and the event is planned to conclude about 1:00 PM with transport back to Excelsior at that time.
In the event of extremely bad weather the event might be postponed for one week.

Those who have enjoyed the island with frequency should ensure that this event is well attended but after those needing Merit Mark hours have signed up.
