America’s Boating Course (ABC)

This introductory course helps boaters understand the required topics needed to meet MN-approved course requirements. We will review rules of the road, required safety equipment, navigation aids, lights and sounds, anchoring, communications, adverse conditions, water sports safety, trailering, personal water craft safety, local and federal laws, knots and lines. This course is considered the first step in gaining island use access for new members, so if you are considering membership and want to use the island on Lake Minnetonka, this course is for you!  This course is also perfect if you are a new boat owner or just want to freshen up your knowledge and become a more confident boater.
