Public Boating Courses
The current class schedule can be found HERE
Public Boating Courses are the United States Power Squadron’s primary civic effort toward public instruction in the fundamentals of safe boating. The Minnetonka Power Squadron offers five and seven-session courses, as well as the popular self-study “America’s Boating Course.” Our Squadron’s public boating courses are designed to familiarize the student with the fundamentals of safe boating as well as qualify for certification in most states that require boating education before operating a watercraft. A fee will be charged to cover cost of materials for all courses, no pre-registration required. Details on all three courses are below.
Public boating classes are offered beginning March 18 and May 7. America’s Boating Course (ABC – Self Study) listed at the bottom of this page is available year-round. For information on public classes, please e-mail our education officer at: education@minnetonkaps.org. Pending classes / schedules are listed under our current events and activities page. For more information on the self study course, please e-mail our ABC chair at: abc@minnetonkaps.org.
