Join us at Streater Cove on 13 June for our annual Squadron Luau! Reservation / sign-up forms are due by June 6 and can be found in the latest Squadron eBeacon and TonkaNAUTS publications. Annual USPS Youth Poster Contest – Entries Due by June 18

The United States Power Squadron’s annual youth poster contest is now in full-swing with entries due by June 18 – for judging at the D10 Summer Rendezvous, June 19-21. Children ages 6-14 are eligible to participate in three judging groups: ages 6-8, 9-11, and 12-14. Entries must be submitted on either 15×20 or 14×22 poster paper. A complete listing of the rules are available at the below link. Completed posters should be delivered to Lt/C Rob Gaddes (Administrative Officer) on or before June 18.
Paper is available at the island and we will have adults ready to assist at each of the functions prior to the entry due date.

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 20 2008 7:00 PM at: The Yacht Club (lower level), 4165 Shoreline Drive, Spring Park MN (just west of the Sheriff’s Water Patrol Headquarters building).
As always, members are encouraged to attend this quarterly business meeting and participate in our squadrons affairs. Your attendance is important as we need a quorum of members to conduct our business.
Our guest speaker will be local historian and author Tom Rockvam. Prepare to enjoy a night where Tom retells growing up on Lake Minnetonka and shares his unique insights on area history. AS A BONUS, Tom will be offering for sale several of the books he has authored and do a personal signing. THIS IS A TERRIFIC CHANCE TO DO SOME EARLY HOLIDAY SHOPPING as well as be thoroughly entertained on a topic we all can enjoy; Lake Minnetonka history.
